Newton-le-Willows Sports Club (known to most of us as "The Cricket Club,") in Crow Lane East, Newton-le-Willows has a very pleasant function room, which is larger than the one at the Kirkfield. We can also use the bar facilities at the club, and there is ample parking space. Pictures below.

We thought we had a big problem when the Kirkfield Hotel closed earlier this year and a new venue had to be found quickly for our evening meetings. But we needn't have worried as the new venue at Newton Sports Club has proved to be an overwhelming success with record attendances for most of our meetings this year.

Our stand at the Willow Park Craft Fair on Bank Holiday Monday was a great success thanks to the fine weather and an excellent turn out for the event. We sold almost all of the plants we took and gained a few more members into the bargain. Pictured here is our stand with committee members and helpers.
